To talk about tools, I have to go back to my childhood, when I would travel with my grandfather Santiago and my godfather Toto in their Willys Jeep, sitting on the toolbox destined for the dairy farm they owned in Cangrejeras—a place named after their most productive cow: the famous *Niña Bonita* Dairy!
The first tool I ever owned as a child was an old, broken pair of needle-nose pliers I found in a box under my godfather Toto’s bed—a man who had served for years as my grandfather’s personal assistant—while helping him clean his room one day. Toto gave me the old pliers, even though they were broken. By then—the 1960s—the large tool stores that once existed in Havana had vanished, and markets and businesses across the board were beginning to disappear in a country that had previously been a commercial benchmark for the Americas and the world, thanks to its long-standing industrial development.

A tool is a manufactured object that serves as an extension of the user's body, enabling or facilitating a mechanical task that could not otherwise be performed—or would be very difficult to carry out—due to limitations such as a lack of strength, mobility, or appropriate dimensions.
In the traditional sense, the term "tool" refers to durable implements -made of various materials, though originally of iron, as the etymology suggests- used to perform mechanical tasks requiring the application of a certain amount of physical force.
Today, the term "tool" encompasses a wide range of concepts and activities (from manual tools to digital ones) yet it is always grounded in the idea that a tool is something used to facilitate the performance of a given task. The NCVT-6 Voltage Tester + Distance Measure is one such tool; in addition to detecting voltage in lines, it functions as a pointer and provides instant distance measurements (in metric, inches, or feet), thereby saving time and effort for engineers, technicians, electricians, and electronics specialists when troubleshooting faults in their respective fields.
Limitless development in 2026! Well, I’ll show you what can be done with these hand tools and how you can acquire them at special prices—either at a small shop in Havana, Cuba, or by purchasing online from our store.
Good luck,
